Join Ruth for a 2.30 hour or 5 hour Pyrography workshop on any date given. Please pay for the ticket and email me to book your date.
I run one or two workshops a month.
Half Day Workshop -
We begin with a intro to pyrography lesson by Ruth , you will learn which Wood is good for pyrography, which wood Ruth likes. Options of transferring work onto the wood, techniques and how to use a Peter Child Pyro Machine ( you are welcome to bring your own, If you have one )
You will then practise on small log slices/ coasters and then choose a small solid rustic ( local wood plank) or a Birch panel and you can create an art piece or a sign of your choice.
Full Day Workshop-
You will do the intro to pyro lesson and then choose a medium piece of wood that inspires you and you have the option to learn how to do Ruth's signature Birch and Fern design or your own design.
You are welcome to bring photographs/ drawings or photocopies of ideas, stencils or designs if you know what you would like to make or be inspired by my work, my books and images.
Workshops will take place in the Woodland Art Space in Bramley, Surrey March - November
or in my cosy studio in Witley, Surrey in the colder months. Dec - March
Normally workshops take place on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays ( once a month ) or you can book a private workshop ( min 5 people).
