Ruth has created these special creative retreat days for those that want to truly spend time in the Woodland and connecting ones self to nature, the trees and surrounding landscape.
We will begin with a morning hatha yoga practise 9- 10 am where we will connect to our breath, calm the senses and the class will focus on a creative flow to support you to unlock your creative spirit and feel inspired.
We will have a cuppa and healthy snack and then start around 10.15 with an Introduction to the art of pyrography, an explanstion and demonstration of the equipment that you need, wood that you can use and how to begin with transferring your ideas and designs onto the wood.
You will then practise on a slice of wood and a birch coaster and then select a piece of wood that resonates with you and work with the grain and natural features.
After burning your design if time you can learn and add paint if required and finish off your wood.
We will break for a light lunch at about 12.30 to 1.30 pm
And resume pyrography until 3 pm.
We will have a little break and then get ready for a restorative /yin yoga practise using bolsters and Props at around 3.30 pm for 1 hour.
I will then close with a 30-40 min yoga nidra and meditatom and a little sound healing on the decking ( so bring blankets, eye pillows )
A Summer Woodland Supper will be provided afterwards and you can relax on the decking, or in our cafe area or around the fire pit ( weather dependant)
We will finish around 6-00pm
