It is a wonderful introduction to stone carving and as it is soft it is easier to carve than stone.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt comes in an array of colours that resemble turquoise to black, brown , grey green, pink and white Greg's and browns and you can't tell exactly how it will look until the last process of oiling your stone.  Each piece is unique.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou don't need many tools and for this reason it is a very adaptable and affordable and it is something that you can do at home!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRuth will show you which tools to use to shape your stone, smooth and polish. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAny one can achieve a mini sculpture that can resemble worry stones, pendants, abstract or realistic 2d or 3d simplistic forms.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTaster Session\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e10 - 12.30 am  £55 \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe taster session c\u003cspan\u003eovers the basics that you need,  you will work with a small stone to practise using the tools and go through every process to complete a finished polished piece. A simple 3d form such as hearts, fish, birds, cats etc or an abstract organic shape is easiest that emerges out of the stone or there will be a choice of pendants or 2d slabs. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI will bring some pieces of stone and tools that you can buy on the day if you want to practise at home.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThere will be an option for drop in pay as you go by the hour if you would like more time or to create a larger piece.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis is a very relaxing mindful practise that takes time to cover all if the processes. So bring an apron , gloves and if you have them goggles or sunglasses in case you need to chip. A dust mask if you are worried about the dust !
